Located in Hartford, the Connecticut Science Center is a 154,000 square foot museum featuring 150 interactive exhibits. In 2016, the center began a project to transform their atrium into a ten-story immersive experience known as Science Alley.
The center collaborated with Roto Design, a museum and exhibit engineering, design, and production firm to help develop their vision for the transformation. Roto then built a variety of exhibit pieces for the project. The two organizations then needed a partner that could help complete the project and bring the vision to life. They chose Pro Signs and our sister company, Pro Crane Rentals.
We went to work developing and producing a variety of themed wall graphics for each section of the atrium. Once finished, teams from Pro Signs and Pro Crane went to work installing the wall graphics and the Roto-designed exhibit pieces including a 30′ long sperm whale, a large helicopter, and more!
